Proceeds from Sadie Elizabeth Abell initiatives will be used to train and educate Pediatric Intensive Care fellows on the management of critically ill children at Johns Hopkins.
This includes resuscitation training and team training on the use of ECMO and other equipment to optimize outcomes of children receiving these potentially life-saving therapies.
Communication skills on difficult issues such as end-of-life discussions will be taught as well as hands on training through the use of simulation.
