The Hopkins E4 Project: A Precision Therapeutic to Neutralize APOE4, the Strongest Genetic Driver of Late-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Hopkins E4 Project. Led by the Johns Hopkins Drug Discovery team, this initiative aims to develop small-molecule drugs that will neutralize APOE4’s toxic effects in the brain. Ultimately, the project’s goal is to prevent or slow Alzheimer’s disease in millions of people who carry this genetic risk. We are seeking $250,000 in philanthropic support to advance this transformative project. Your contribution will directly fund breakthrough discovery efforts, including large-scale drug screening, medicinal chemistry, and preclinical testing, helping to accelerate the development of the first precision therapy for APOE4 carriers and lay the foundation for a breakthrough in Alzheimer’s treatment.
