Private support provides the Lyme Disease Research Center’s Director, Dr. John Aucott, with the ability to advance scientific discovery and patient care for patients suffering from Lyme and tickborne diseases. A current Center priority is the creation of a unique internal medicine based fellowship training program to develop and equip the next generation of physician-scientist leaders with the tools needed to skillfully and compassionately care for patients with Lyme and tickborne diseases. Funding from generous donors affords an optimal and comprehensive clinical research training experience, ensuring that the Center’s tradition of outstanding patient care, novel research, and medical education continues seamlessly and without delay.
