Your gift can help prepare our nation’s future STEM workforce leaders.
Maryland MESA, administered by Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), is a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) initiative for Grades 3 through 12. We mentor students statewide, preparing them to apply to and graduate from a 2- or 4-year college or university with a degree in a STEM field. Maryland MESA (the initials stand for Math Engineering Science Achievement) seeks students who are traditionally underrepresented in these fields—specifically minority and female students.
Your donation will help fund Maryland MESA Programs and Activities such as our Saturday Scholars program and MESA Days and National MESA competitions—boosting young STEM students to greater achievements and the potential for a rewarding career.
APL covers most administrative costs for the Maryland MESA program, allowing your entire donation to support Maryland MESA students and teachers. If you are contributing through United Way, please use ID No. 7628 when making a donation.
Thank You,
