In September 2020, Harrison underwent a traumatic medical emergency where he was rushed via helicopter to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. The Pediatric Transport Team, including Dr. Jessica LaRosa, jumped into action while Harrison was having trouble breathing. In gratitude for this live-saving moment, the Carter family has established the Jessica LaRosa, M.D. and Harrison Carter Fellowship Fund to support the physicians within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The funds will support continuing education for pediatric critical care fellows and allow them to conduct research that will benefit patients like Harrison in the future. Your gift will have a tremendous impact on frontline staff at the Children’s Center and ultimately save lives. Thank you for considering a gift to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in honor of Harrison.
