Young Investigators Fund
Gifts to this fund will support the work of promising early-career physician-scientists and PhD scientists. Your gifts offer necessary seed funding for research to enable early-career investigators in the division to expand their research projects.
Endocrinology Fellowship Enhancement Fund
Gifts to this fund will provide Fellows in the division with resources to optimize their training and productivity through support of pilot research projects, travel to national and international meetings and conferences, and publication fees.
Diabetes Registry Fund
Gifts to this fund will help to establish a diabetes registry in the division. A patient registry enables clinicians and researchers to rapidly collect and analyze data on a large number of patients with diabetes. It greatly increases our ability to learn more about the natural course of diabetes, how treatments vary across the healthcare system, and how different treatments impact outcomes, as well as better enabling us to identify disparities in how care is allocated, potential adverse outcomes of treatments, and the effectiveness of quality improvement projects. A diabetes registry will increase the ability of Johns Hopkins patients and families to participate in multi-center clinical trials and give registered patients and their families the opportunity to help advance research in the origin and development of diabetes, as well as in innovative diagnostic, prevention, and treatment approaches.
