Domestic violence (DV) is a widespread issue with grave consequences. One in 3 women, 1 in 7 men, and 1 in 2 trans people in the US will experience abuse from a partner in their lifetime. In addition to injuries and a range of negative long-term health and mental health outcomes, the most serious consequence is death. Yet the majority of people abused by a partner never receive the DV services that could increase their safety.
The myPlan app is a tech solution to bridge this gap. With myPlan, users can anonymously assess their (or a loved one’s) relationship, get strategies to increase health & safety, and get connected to resources. Backed by Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing research, myPlan is private, personalized, and free.
With your support, we can put safety resources directly into the palm of people's hands and ultimately save lives.
